BCL says the A's won't make the playoffs with the current subtractions/additions. Maybe 85 wins but no playoffs.
We are a fantasy baseball league whose draft is scheduled for May 1. Ten men enter (or nine or eight), and one man leaves.

Call me overly cautious, which would be one of the nicest of the many things you've called me, but in my family there is a tradition spanning many generations of not predicting how the A's will do until we have some fair idea of (1) what their lineup will be, (2) what their starting rotation will consist of and how they look in Spring training, and (3) whether the team will have a closer worth the label. Lacking all that, you could pull from a hat any number between 70 and 90 and have a good shot at calling it.
Did Nostradamus wait for Spring training and late movement on the waiver wire? I think not. I say 84 wins and damned be he who first cries, "Hold. Enough!"
